This Privacy Policy explains how Edura (operated by Sorveo Solutions Limited) ("Edura", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects personal data when you use the Edura school management platform ("the Platform").

Edura is committed to protecting the privacy and security of personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the EU General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR), and the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR).

2. Data Controller and Data Processor

Schools that use Edura act as Data Controllers for the personal data of their students, staff, parents, and other school community members. Schools determine the purposes and means of processing this data.

Edura acts as a Data Processor on behalf of schools, processing personal data only as instructed by the school and in accordance with this policy and any applicable data processing agreement.

For data relating to school administrator accounts and billing, Edura acts as the Data Controller.

3. Personal Data We Collect

We collect and process the following categories of personal data:

Account and Identity Data: First name, last name, email address, phone number, password (encrypted), role and designation.

Student Data: Admission number, date of birth, gender, nationality, religion, blood group, home address, previous school, passport photograph, class assignment, house assignment, attendance records, academic results and grades, report cards, fee payment records, and guardian/parent relationships.

Staff Data: Name, email, phone number, designation, role assignments, and employment-related records held within the Platform.

Parent/Guardian Data: Name, email, phone number, relationship to student(s), and communication preferences.

Usage Data: Login timestamps, IP addresses, browser information, pages accessed, and actions performed within the Platform for security and audit purposes.

Billing Data: School billing details, payment transaction records, subscription plan information, and payment gateway references. We do not store full credit card numbers.
